The Plant Biology faculty and graduate student offices and research labs are housed in two buildings on the main campus; Spaulding Life Sciences and Rudman Hall. Both are modern buildings with state of the art labs and teaching facilities. |
The Department also has access to two University owned and operated farms where field experiments are conducted. Woodman Farm- is located 0.8 mile from the main campus and consists of open fields, apple orchards and greenhouse facilities. |

Kingman Farm is located two miles from campus. A large farmhouse and several utility sheds house field equipment. Vegetable crops and apple orchards are maintained here. |
The University also operates 5 greenhouses located at the edge of campus within easy walking distance of Rudman and Spaulding. |

Jackson Estuarine Laboratory is located 5 miles from campus on the Great Bay Estuary. Jackson lab supports research in estuarine and marine studies. |
The Hodgdon Herbarium is located in Spaulding Hall, with two major collections -- vascular plants and marine macroalgae. |

The Young Plant Center has glass greenhouses with computer-controlled temperature, HPS lighting, underbench heating, irrigation, and CO2 injection capability. The greenhouses are being renovated for propagation and stock plant management. |
